Job summary

Trevor Frances Recruitment is seeking an Assistant Director of Care in Toronto to lead nursing operations, quality improvement, and infection prevention in a long-term care setting. Reporting to the Director of Care, you will oversee resident care, develop a strong nursing team, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a compassionate, resident-centered culture aligned with Christian values.

Proven RN leadership, geriatric care expertise, and ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team

Qualifications

• RN with College of Nurses of Ontario registration.
• Minimum 3 years of geriatric/long-term care leadership experience.
• Experience developing/restorative care programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to the Nursing Department.
• Oversee resident care planning and communication with residents, families, and staff.
• Lead nursing quality improvement programs and audits.
• Oversee infection prevention and control program in collaboration with IPAC lead.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and scheduling of nursing staff.
• Promote a compassionate, resident-first leadership approach.
