Overview

Convergint is looking for a full-time, team-oriented, results-driven Nurse Call & RTLS Technician to join our Halifax or Toronto location. The role involves installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing nurse call and RTLS (Real-Time Location Systems) to support healthcare operations.

What You’ll Do with Our Training and Your Experience
  • Install, service, and inspect nurse call and RTLS systems.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with networked electronic systems, software, and front-end workstations/servers.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, emergency service calls, and repairs in a timely and professional manner.
  • Review and interpret as-built drawings and documentation to correct deficiencies and restore systems with minimal supervision.
  • Validate, test, and commission nurse call and RTLS systems onsite to ensure proper functionality.
  • Maintain clear and professional communication with customers, contractors, and internal teams regarding project updates, service status, and customer requests.
  • Collaborate effectively with managers, engineers, technicians, and consulting partners to deliver high-quality solutions.
What You’ll Need
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with networked electronic systems and software.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Willingness to participate in on-call rotations for emergency service needs.
  • Technical certifications or relevant field experience are considered an asset.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience working with nurse call or similar healthcare communication systems
  • Diploma, or Degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar program.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret level security clearance
  • Valid driver’s license
