Job summary

ATS Industrial Automation Inc. in Canada is seeking a Systems Designer/Engineer - Nuclear to join our global team. You will learn customer processes, become the SME for the equipment and lead design activities with the project manager and our design, assembly, and software teams.

You will define system requirements, verify performance, and guide a multi-disciplinary team from cradle to launch, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence in a nuclear setting.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in mechanical, electrical, controls or systems engineering support, preferably in an automation environment.
• Experience in nuclear tooling/equipment development is an asset.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to lead or work as part of a multi-disciplinary project team.

Responsibilities

• Learn the customer process and become the local expert to support design, integration and verification of machines/tools/systems.
• Prepare component and system level analyses, calculations or studies including structural integrity, drive sizing, accuracy, Gauge R&R, and pressure/flow/heat transfer.
• Lead design reviews with customers, vendors, and internal design groups and drive risk mitigation.
