Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with extensive nuclear experience to lead mechanical and piping SSC design packages from concept through to service, while mentoring junior engineers. The role requires interfacing with customer engineering representatives and ensuring compliance with CSA/ASME codes and CNSC/TSSA regulations.

The ideal candidate holds a PE in Ontario, 15+ years in mechanical engineering (10+ in nuclear) and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of mechanical engineering experience with at least 10 years in the nuclear industry.
• Registered Professional Engineer in Ontario, in good standing.
• Experience with power plant equipment including Nuclear Island, Turbine Island and Balance of Plant.
• Familiarity with CNSC and TSSA regulatory processes and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review design basis documents for nuclear and conventional systems.
• Oversee Mechanical and Piping SSC design packages from concept through available for service and close out.
• Mentor and supervise junior engineers; provide technical guidance.
• Interface with customer engineering representatives and ensure standards compliance.
