Job summary

Insight Medical Imaging in Edmonton, AB, is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for evenings and weekends to rotate across clinics. The role emphasizes patient dosing, scans, QC, and collaboration with Radiology teams.

You will perform QC on equipment, manage isotopes and supplies, and assist with cardiac stress procedures, focusing on patient care and safety. Shift pattern includes evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

  • Comprehensive knowledge of diagnostic Nuclear Medicine procedures and practices.
  • Must know images required for each exam by Radiologists.
  • Knowledge of technical parameters for any examination requested.
  • Knowledge of exam storage and retrieval systems.
  • Clinical competency in medical nuclear medicine.
  • Committed to excellence in patient care, quality control and adherence to imaging standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform QC on hot lab equipment, gamma cameras, and radiopharmaceuticals.
  • Manage daily isotope and supply orders for the department.
  • Prepare and administer patient doses, including drawing, recording, injecting and IV setup.
  • Conduct patient interviews, histories, and supervise recovery following cardiac stress testing.
  • Perform and assist in various Nuclear Medicine scans and cardiac stress procedures.
  • Complete documentation and organize studies and X-ray orders.

Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Evenings and Weekends

Full Time Rotating Technologist Edmonton, AB, CA

Insight is currently seeking Nuclear Medicine Technologists to join our dynamic and expanding team. This is a full-time position that will rotate between 7 designated clinics in the Edmonton and immediate area, with a schedule of evenings and weekends only.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform quality control on hot lab equipment, gamma cameras, and radiopharmaceuticals, including manufacturing, QC, and shipping from the Insight Radiopharmacy.
  • Manage daily isotope and supply orders for the department.
  • Prepare and administer patient doses, including drawing, recording, injecting, and setting up IVs and ECG leads.
  • Conduct patient interviews, record histories, and supervise recovery following cardiac stress testing.
  • Perform and assist in various Nuclear Medicine scans and cardiac stress procedures (e.g., MIBIs).
  • Complete required documentation, organize previous studies, order accompanying X-rays, and maintain general housekeeping.
