Job summary

Insight Medical Imaging is seeking an X-ray Technologist to join our expanding team in Edmonton and surrounding areas. This permanent, full-time position will rotate across our 16 locations within Edmonton and nearby regions.

We value patient care, clinical radiography expertise, and strong communication. The role includes maintaining equipment, safety protocols, and potential cross-training in BD, Fluoroscopy, and ECG. We offer vacation, sick days, flex days, and RRSP matching.

Qualifications

  • Completion of MRT bone densitometry training preferred.
  • CPR Standard First Aid certification is an asset.
  • Clinical competency in medical radiography and knowledge of imaging procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and perform standardized and complex radiography procedures per Radiologists/Physicians.
  • Operate and maintain DI equipment and ensure units function correctly.
  • Maintain safety, radiological hygiene and infection control in the radiographic area.
  • Assist in training new staff and students as requested.
  • Cross-train in BD, Fluoroscopy and ECG as needed.

Insight is currently seeking X Ray Technologists to join our dynamic and expanding team. This is a permanent, full-time position with rotation across our 16 locations in Edmonton and the surrounding area.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Prepares and performs a variety of standardized and/or complex procedures as set forth by the Radiologists and our referring Physicians.

  • Responsible for the operation and basic maintenance of all equipment.

  • DI Equipment: Must have working knowledge of all equipment and ensure all units are functioning correctly.

  • Responsible for maintaining safety and the general care and cleanliness of the radiographic area, with particular attention to radiation safety and infection control.

  • Knowledge of computer systems and all DI office duties.

  • Assist in the training of new staff and students, as requested by MGM.

  • Willingness to cross train in BD, Fluoroscopy and ECG’s.

Qualifications:


  • Pain Management and Bone Densitometry trained preferred.

  • Completion of Medication Preparation training within the first three months of employment

  • CLXT: Enrolment in Bone Densitometry course within first three months of employment and completion within first 6 months of employment.

  • MRT: Completion of Bone Densitometry training within the first 3 months of employment.

  • CPR Standard First aid certificate is an asset.
