Job summary

Insight Medical Imaging in Edmonton, AB seeks a full-time X Ray Technologist for evenings and weekends to join our expanding team across 17 locations. You will perform standardized radiographic procedures, operate and maintain equipment, and uphold radiation safety and infection control.

Qualified MRT(R)/CLXT CAMRT in good standing is required; CPR/First Aid is an asset. We support professional development and cross-training in BD, Fluoroscopy and ECGs, with RRSP matching and paid time off.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety and cleanliness of the radiographic area with attention to radiation safety.
• Knowledge of computer systems and DI office duties.
• Assist in training new staff and students and cross-train in BD, Fluoroscopy and ECGs.

Insight is currently seeking X Ray Technologists to join our dynamic and expanding team. This is a permanent, full-time position that requires evening and weekend shifts, with rotation across our 17 locations in Edmonton and the surrounding area.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepares and performs a variety of standardized and/or complex procedures as set forth by the Radiologists and our referring Physicians.
• Responsible for the operation and basic maintenance of all equipment.
• DI Equipment: Must have working knowledge of all equipment and ensure all units are functioning correctly.
• Responsible for maintaining safety and the general care and cleanliness of the radiographic area, with particular attention to radiation safety and infection control.
• Knowledge of computer systems and all DI office duties.
• Assist in the training of new staff and students, as requested by MGM.
• Willingness to cross train in BD, Fluoroscopy and ECG’s.

• CPR Standard First aid certificate is an asset.
