Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Mechanical or Chemical Engineer to work on nuclear power plant systems design, including modification packages, drawings, and engineering analyses. You will prepare specifications, lead teams, and interact with clients on status and tasks from a hybrid schedule.

Ideal candidates have a degree in engineering, 1+ years of experience, and strong communication skills. Some travel to client sites may be required, with in-office 3 days per week and remote work two days.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from a ABET- or CABE-accredited program.
• Minimum 1 year of engineering experience or a MS degree.
• Working knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations for nuclear plant mechanical design.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Involved in design and review of nuclear power plant systems and modification packages.
• Prepare or review functional mechanical drawings and equipment specs.
• Lead engineering project teams and interface with clients on status and tasks.
• Develop engineering cost estimates for small to mid-sized client projects.
