Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Canada is seeking a senior electrical engineer to provide engineering support for nuclear power systems within a licensed Canadian nuclear environment. You will prepare calculations, specifications and design-change documentation with senior oversight, and participate in field walkdowns, data reviews and issue resolution with a focus on safety and configuration control.

You will apply CNSC and CSA standards, maintain quality and ageing management, and collaborate with operations,

Qualifications

• Engineering Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, recognized by PEO.
• Professional Engineer in Ontario (or eligible) with licensure preferred.
• 5–7 years of progressively responsible engineering experience in nuclear/CANDU environments.
• Demonstrated engineering judgment, risk communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support and technical accountability for nuclear electrical power systems including distribution, protection, grounding, cables, motors, batteries, and emergency power.
• Prepare calculations, assessments, specifications and design-change documentation with senior oversight.
• Perform field walkdowns, data review, equipment evaluations and technical-query resolution while maintaining configuration control.
• Apply nuclear codes, standards, procedures and QA requirements to assigned work.
• Coordinate interfaces with operations, maintenance, construction, commissioning, suppliers and quality interfaces in a high-reliability environment.
