Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Electrical Engineer for our nuclear power systems team in Canada. The role involves leading conceptual and detailed design, preparing engineering deliverables, and coordinating with clients, suppliers and multidisciplinary teams.

You will mentor junior staff and support field activities. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s in electrical engineering, 0–2+ years of nuclear power experience, and familiarity with MV/LV distribution and ETAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and eligible to register.
• Master’s degree in Power Engineering and Distribution systems preferred.
• Experience in large design‑build projects.
• 0–2+ years in electrical engineering and nuclear power systems.
• Experience with MV/LV distribution, SLDs, diagrams, load lists, transformer/cable/breaker sizing.
• Proficiency with ETAP or similar modelling software.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering work following QA programs, codes and regulatory requirements.
• Lead and contribute to conceptual, preliminary and detailed design activities.
• Prepare drawings, calculations, reports, design manuals, specifications and BOMs.
• Coordinate with clients, suppliers, stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide technical support and interface with vendors; mentor junior engineers.
