Job summary

CanAtom, a joint venture between AtkinsRéalis and Aecon, leads the Pickering Nuclear Generating Station Refurbishment Project under a collaborative contract with Ontario Power Generation. The EHS Manager, reporting to the EHS Director, will lead a team of EHS Advisors to develop, implement, and audit the Safety Program for the Projects.

The role requires 5+ years coordinating health and safety on construction sites, strong OHSA knowledge, and CRSP/NCSO/COR credentials.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience coordinating and managing health and safety for construction projects.
• Knowledge of OHSA and related regulations.
• CRSP or COR Auditor and NCSO certification required.
• Experience in nuclear considered an asset.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead EHS department and guide line management in safety program development.
• Oversee site EHS orientation for workers, owners, and clients.
• Mentor supervisors and staff on EHS manual requirements.
• Ensure risk mitigation plans, inspections, and audits are executed.
• Prepare reports and present to project leadership and clients.
