Job summary

Aecon Concessions in Pickering, ON is hiring a Project Coordinator to lead planning, scheduling, and coordination for the CanAtom Pickering Nuclear Generating Station refurbishment project. You will work with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to safety and quality standards.

The role requires a technical engineering/engineering technology background and 5+ years of project experience, with a preference for nuclear outage planning expertise.

Qualifications

• Technical (Engineering or Engineering Technology) education.
• 5+ years of engineering and/or construction project experience.
• Knowledge of SharePoint applications an asset.
• Strong interpersonal skills in communicating with a large team.
• Preference will be given to those with nuclear outage planning experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example to promote a ONE TEAM, Project-First approach with internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain nuclear safety culture and support safety programs and statistics.
• Assist the Project Manager in communicating the project vision and success criteria.
• Plan and implement engineering and construction programs including milestones and manpower.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets for engineering and construction segments.
• Provide status reports on milestones and schedule adjustments to stakeholders.
• Coordinate preparation and delivery of design documents, as-built drawings, and turnover documents.
• Review project designs for compliance with engineering principles and customer requirements.
