Job summary

Aecon is seeking a Jr. Project Coordinator Co-op for the Darlington New Nuclear Project in Clarington, Ontario. You will assist in developing work packages, coordinating design deviations, and ensuring construction activities follow policy and safety standards.

This role offers hands-on experience in a high‑impact infrastructure program with cross‑functional collaboration. You will liaise with field teams, engineers, and suppliers, support QA, and help manage deliverables using 3D modeling

Qualifications

• Pursuing a post‑secondary degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical).
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Proficient written communication skills.
• Knowledge of SharePoint is an asset.
• Excel knowledge is an asset.
• Able to read blueprints is an asset.
• Valid G license and access to a reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining Comprehensive Work Package with construction and engineering.
• Identify, report, and secure approval for deviations from design documents before release to construction.
• Ensure construction activities comply with policy, standards, and procedures.
• Serve as liaison between field trades and design engineers for issue resolution.
• Provide status and progress reports to project team and management.
• Coordinate interfaces with internal groups, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Develop and write detailed work plans with construction leads.
• Maintain high standards for final product quality.
• Control expenditures within project budget.
• Coordinate preparation and delivery of project deliverables and drawings.
• Review project design for engineering compliance and contract requirements.
• Support safety programs and quality assurance initiatives.
• Utilize 3D modeling to support construction work.
