Job summary

Aecon Group Inc. invites experienced construction professionals to join the Darlington New Nuclear Project alliance.

You will supervise civil/structural construction activities, coordinate with engineering, trades, and subcontractors, and ensure safe, quality execution in alignment with the project master schedule. Reporting to Construction Management, you will oversee planning, progress reviews, risk management, and escalation processes to maintain schedule integrity on a landmark nuclear build

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years Civil/Structural construction and subcontractor supervision experience.
• Knowledge of construction technology, equipment, methods, trade agreements and jurisdiction.
• Must understand how to support a positive Nuclear Safety Culture.
• Ability to plan and manage installation sequences, coordinate with engineering, and communicate updates to teams.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for work planning and execution on the project, including methods of construction, manpower levels, materials, tools, equipment, rentals and work schedules.
• Ensure alignment and partnering with the alliance partners.
• Monitor and review plans and schedules, identify risks, and issues.
• Create detailed look-ahead schedules from the project master schedule.
• Implement and enforce safety, quality and human performance programs.
• Ensure project staff follow Aecon policies and project procedures.
• Monitor risks, develop recovery strategies when schedule or budget are at risk.
• Oversee productivity of direct hire trades and subcontractors and ensure quality workmanship.
• Interface with client representatives, design engineers, consultants, other contractors.
• Ensure QA programs and project quality are adhered to.
