Job summary

Aecon Nuclear has been awarded a contract with Ontario Power Generation to support the Darlington New Nuclear Project (DNNP). Beginning in 2023 Aecon will support the validation phase design, procurement, early site preparation and site mobilization scope for the Construction of the Unit 1 Small Modular Reactor at the Darlington site.

Reporting to the responsible Project Manager, this role will support work within the DNNP.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in project engineering in a construction/EPC environment.
5+ years of experience in Instrumentation & Controls.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Master's degree or P.Eng. designation is an asset.

Responsibilities

Assists in development and maintenance of Comprehensive Work Package with construction, engineering and quality for concrete production.
Provides status reports of milestones and adjustments to concrete delivery schedules.
Coordinates preparation and delivery of project deliverables, specs and quality documentation.
Ensures concrete production and delivery follow policy, standards and procedures.
Maintains liaison between concrete supplier and construction teams for info flow and issue resolution.
Forecasts and tracks change orders and scope changes.
Coordinates all site procurement activities including material specs and tracking.
Establishes interfaces with concrete supplier and construction teams.
Develops detailed work plans with construction leads.
Maintains high standards of final product quality.
