Job summary

Northern Farms is seeking General Labourers to join our meat processing team in Arthur, Ontario. You will perform production tasks across the plant, including cutting, trimming, packaging, sanitation, and general production work in a fast-paced environment.

This hands-on role requires physical endurance, the ability to work in cold conditions, and a commitment to food safety. We offer on-the-job training, competitive starting wage, and benefits as part of a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform repetitive physical work.
• Comfortable working with raw meat, cold temperatures, noise and strong odors.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform production tasks (cutting, trimming, deboning, packaging)
• Operate tools and machinery (including saws/blades)
• Support harvesting operations
• Rotate between departments as needed
• Maintain food safety, sanitation, and quality standards
• Follow all health & safety procedures and use PPE
• Assist with end-of-shift clean-up and sanitation

About the Role

TheGeneral Labourer supports meat processing activities across the plant, including cutting, trimming, packaging, sanitation, and general production tasks. This is a physical, hands-on role in a fast-paced environment.

• Working in cold/refrigerated environments
