Conestoga Meats in Breslau, Ontario is hiring an Industrial Butcher for day and afternoon shifts. You will slaughter livestock, trim and portion carcasses, and use knives and saws in a fast-paced meat processing environment.

This full-time role offers 40 hours weekly, direct deposit pay, and progression opportunities; wages range from CAD 25.69 to CAD 28.35 per hour plus a CAD 1.25 afternoon shift premium.

Qualifications

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Some High School education.
• Commitment to safety and quality processes.
• 3+ months of experience in retail/wholesale or industrial butchery and/or other knife skills.

Responsibilities

• Slaughter livestock.
• Remove viscera and other inedible parts from carcasses.
• Clean and trim carcasses.

• Remove excess fat, bruises or other blemishes from carcass or meat portions.
• Working with animal blood and a variety of parts from a butchered animal.

Industrial Butcher

Job Description

• Slaughter livestock

These positions are required for day (starting times vary from 6:00 am - 7:00 am) and afternoon shift (starting times vary from 3:00pm - 4:00 pm) Monday – Friday
