Maple Leaf Foods in Mississauga is seeking a production associate to handle fresh and frozen meat products, operate ovens and assembly lines, and support plant setup and product flow. The ideal candidate is reliable, physically fit to lift up to 50 lbs, and able to communicate in English with teammates.

Night shift premium is available, with hourly pay starting at $18.50. This role requires adherence to hygienic and food safety requirements and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced team

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written English communication across departments.
• Strong data entry and computer skills; SAP experience required.
• Must be reliable, punctual and a team player.

Responsabilités

• Handling of fresh and frozen meat products, including chicken, turkey, and pork
• Formulating mixtures of ingredients to create products for cooking and packaging
• Loading and unloading microwaves/ovens during the cooking process using automated/manual equipment
• Plant setup for production
• Performing tasks along an assembly line to move products through production
• Organizing finished product from the line, pallet configuration, tagging, and storage
• Other duties as assigned

Responsibilities

• Handling of fresh and frozen meat products, including chicken, turkey, and pork
• Combining ingredients to formulate mixtures of products to be cooked and packaged
• Loading and unloading microwaves/ovens within the cooking process using automated and manual equipment
• Plant set up for production
• Performing task along an assembly line to move products from start to end of the production cycle
• Organization of finished product from the line, including pallet configuration, pallet tag documentation, and removal of product to freezer for proper storage
• Other duties as assigned

What we are looking for

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset
• Desire and ability to learn
• Reliable and dependable, able to be at work every day, on time
• Ability to interact and share information with Team Members at all levels. Actively participate in their work group
• Able to work in a fast-paced and repetitive task environment
• Physically fit and able to lift, push, and/or pull weight of up to 23kg (50 lbs.)
• Be willing to adhere to all hygienic and food safety requirements in the Plant

Compensation

Hourly Rate: From $18.50 Hr. Nightshift premium available. Reason for vacancy: Existing Headcount
