Job summary

Canada Life in Winnipeg is seeking a Temporary Full Time Non-Insured Billing Administrator to manage premium and billing activities for our group clients, ensuring accuracy and adherence to quality standards.

You will prepare monthly billing statements using Excel and GBS, code payments in PAS and SAP, and handle arrears while maintaining schedule reliability. The role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to work under deadlines in a collaborative environment.

Job description

Temporary Full Time

We are looking for a Non-Insured Billing Administrator.


The Billing Administrator is responsible for handling all premium and billing aspects for group clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysis and maintenance of their assigned block of business and assisting team members, keeping current and consistent with specific quality standards.


What you will do:


  • Prepare monthly billing statements using Microsoft Excel and the Group Billing System (GBS)

  • Handling daily inquiries from Clients, Group Sales office and other Canada Life departments.

  • Allocate and code payments accurately on Policy Administration System (PAS) and Systems Applications and Products (SAP).

  • Handle all Group Client arrears.

  • Maintain fees on the ASO system and process amendments, which have a direct impact on the client bill

  • Calculate retroactive fees and taxes

  • Prepare policy year-end refund audits within the service target date


What you will bring:


  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle pressures of deadlines, fluctuating workloads, and changing priorities

  • Strong mathematical aptitude

  • High attention to detail and accuracy required

  • Well-developed analytical/problem solving skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Well-developed skills using Word, Excel and Outlook

  • Knowledge of Group Insurance products and TOCS system would be considered an asset

  • Ability to excel within a Purpose/Vision driven environment

  • You are comfortable with technology, using multiple computer and business programs

  • Bilingual fluency (English & French) would be considered an asset

  • Reliability Status Security Clearance – this can only be completed with candidates who receive an offer of employment. This is a personal security status that is required as a condition of employment before an employee can gain access to Protected B information, assets or work sites as outlined by the Government of Canada website. The cost of submitting these checks will be covered by Canada Life.


The base salary for this position is between $43,300 - $58,600 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc). If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
