Job summary

Alpha House Calgary is seeking a PBSH Caseworker to join a team-based program delivering supportive housing services. The role emphasizes crisis management, advocacy, and building trust with clients to promote housing stability.

The ideal candidate has a two-year Human Services diploma (or is actively enrolled) and strong understanding of addiction, harm reduction, and trauma-informed care. Excellent communication and confidentiality are essential, with proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Qualifications

• Minimum two-year diploma in Human Services or related field, or active enrolment.
• Understanding of addiction, harm reduction, trauma-informed care, and housing-first model.
• Frontline experience working with vulnerable populations facing homelessness or mental health challenges.
• Strong empathy, confidentiality and ethical responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide case management in a team-based PBSH program to help clients maintain housing and stability.
• Promote harm reduction and housing-first approaches in day-to-day work.
• Demonstrate crisis management, advocacy, and rapport-building with clients.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold privacy standards while working independently or in a team.
