Job summary

Alpha House Calgary is seeking a dedicated PBSH Caseworker to join their team. This permanent full-time position involves a unique schedule of 3 days on and 3 days off, working overnight shifts from 7pm to 7am.

The caseworker will assist clients in maintaining housing stability, using a compassionate approach to support those dealing with addiction and mental health challenges. Ideal candidates will have a diploma in Human Services and experience working with vulnerable populations.

Qualifications

• Minimum two-year diploma in Human Services or related field from a public post-secondary institution.
• Understanding of addiction, harm reduction, trauma-informed care, and housing-first model.
• Frontline experience supporting vulnerable populations, particularly those facing homelessness.

Responsibilities

• Help clients maintain housing and stability in a team-based, case management model.
• Provide individualized care promoting harm reduction and housing-first philosophies.
