Job summary

Lineage in Calgary, Alberta is seeking a Dispatch Coordinator to support the daily scheduling and dispatching of vehicles for materials and freight. The position requires 2 years of dispatch experience and a rotating 4 days on/4 days off schedule with shifts from 6 PM to 6 AM.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dispatch schedule for drivers and equipment daily to meet on-time service requirements.
• Establish and maintain relationships with carriers for effective utilization.
• Use dynamic routing to efficiently route outbound product.
• Create and maintain inbound and outbound orders in the dispatch system.
• Monitor drivers’ hours to ensure appropriate workload and legal compliance.
• Coordinate changes to delivery and backhaul assignments as needed.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities for productivity and customer service.
