Job summary

XTL Transport is seeking a bilingual Dispatcher in Vaudreuil-Dorion, QC on-site to coordinate cross-border and domestic deliveries and keep drivers informed. You will manage dispatch activities, respond to real-time emails, and support internal teams with issue resolution.

Required: minimum two years in dispatch, fluency in French and English, and comfort with TMS/AS400. The role offers a fast-paced environment and on-site hours: 4 days on, 4 days off, 3:30 pm–2:30 am.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in dispatch or transport operations.
• Fluency in French and English is mandatory.
• Proficiency with dispatch systems and comfort with learning new technologies.
• Excellent typing speed and attention to detail.
• Strong understanding of geography and transportation routes.
• Ability to prioritize and handle pressure effectively.
• Resourceful, independent, and highly organized.

Responsibilities

• Maintain constant communication with drivers via phone and internal chat.
• Monitor and respond to operational emails in real-time.
• Manage dispatch operations, including real-time assignment changes and system updates.
• Coordinate and support cross-border shipments with ACE/ACI understanding.
• Create and manage cross-border documentation (ACE/ACI).
• Communicate clearly with drivers for domestic deliveries.
• Ensure compliance with Hours of Service regulations.
• Support customers and internal teams with timely updates and issue resolution.
• Utilize TMS software (AS400 is a plus).
• Contribute to development and adherence of operational procedures.

XTL Transport is looking for a bilingual Dispatcher to join our dynamic operations team. This role is key to ensuring the smooth coordination of cross-border and domestic deliveries. We're seeking a candidate who is proactive, detail-oriented, and experienced in managing transportation logistics.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain constant communication with drivers via phone and internal chat
• Monitor and respond to operational emails in real-time
• Manage dispatch operations, including real-time assignment changes and system updates
• Coordinate and support cross-border shipments with a working understanding of ACE and ACI processes
• Create and manage cross-border documentation (ACE/ACI)
• Communicate clearly with drivers performing domestic deliveries
• Ensure compliance with driver Hours of Service regulations
• Support customers and internal teams with timely updates and issue resolution
• Utilize TMS software (experience with AS400 is an asset)
• Contribute to the development and adherence of operational procedures
