North Bay Regional Health Centre is seeking an HRIS Analyst to join our Information Systems team. You will analyze, configure, maintain, and optimize HRIS and payroll systems to ensure data integrity, regulatory compliance, and alignment with HR business requirements.

You will collaborate with Human Resources, Payroll, Finance, and ITS staff to provide reliable system support, improve workflows, and facilitate system enhancements.

Qualifications

  • HR/Business Administration or Payroll education from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum three years in support and implementation of enterprise HRIS/payroll systems, preferably in healthcare.
  • Strong knowledge of HR and payroll processes and payroll compliance requirements.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel for reporting and analyses.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical users.
  • HRIS/Payroll certifications are an asset; bilingualism English/French is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze HR and payroll requirements and configure enterprise HR systems accordingly.
  • Support deployment, migration, maintenance, and administration of HRIS.
  • Assist data mapping, validation, testing, and data reconciliation for migrations.
  • Ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance for HR, payroll, and labour rules.
  • Facilitate system enhancements, testing, and validation activities.
  • Collaborate with HR, Payroll, and Finance to streamline workflows and improve HRIS efficiency.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot HRIS for accuracy and reliability.
  • Liaise with vendors and partners to resolve issues and support enhancements.
  • Develop HRIS documentation and user training materials; support end-user training.
  • Maintain HR and payroll reports and dashboards for audits and planning.
  • Participate in HRIS projects, integrations, and system implementations; perform other duties as needed.

North Bay Regional Health Centre is seeking a highly motivated HRIS Analyst to join our Information Systems team. This role is responsible for the analysis, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of HRIS systems, including human resources and payroll applications, to ensure data integrity, regulatory compliance, and alignment with organizational and HR business requirements.

Reporting to the Manager of Informatics & Information Systems, the HRIS Analyst works closely with Human Resources, Payroll, Finance, technical administrators, and Information Technology Services (ITS) staff to provide reliable system support and to enhance and improve HR processes and workflows.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES of this position include but are not limited to:
  • Analyze HR and payroll business requirements and configure resulting functional requirements into enterprise-wide HR system
  • Support the deployment, migration, maintenance, monitoring and administration of HRIS system
  • Support data conversion activities, including data mapping, validation, testing, and reconciliation, to ensure accurate and complete migration of HR and payroll data during system implementations or upgrades
  • Ensure ongoing system data integrity and compliance with payroll, HR, and labour regulations
  • Facilitate system enhancements, including testing and validation activities
  • Collaborate with HR, Payroll, and Finance teams to streamline workflows and improve system efficiency
  • Maintain and troubleshoot the HRIS, ensuring data accuracy and system reliability.
  • Liaise with application vendors and external partners to resolve issues and support enhancements
  • Develop and maintain HRIS documentation, procedures, and training materials.
  • Support end-user training and provide guidance on best practices
  • Maintain reports and dashboards to support HR and Payroll reporting needs, such as audits, workforce planning and regulatory compliance etc.
  • Participate in HRIS-related projects, integrations, and system implementations
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental goals.
  • May be required to provide after hours support as required
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, Payroll education from an accredited institution preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in support and implementation of enterprise-wide HRIS and/or payroll systems, preferably within a healthcare environment
  • Strong knowledge of HR and payroll business processes, and compliance requirementsli>
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel for reporting and data analysis an asset
  • Ability to translate highly technical concepts into terms understandable by non-technical users is an asset
  • HRIS, Payroll, or Human Resources certifications (e.g., CHRP, CPP, HRIS certification) are an asset
  • Demonstrated commitment to organizational safety standards and a culture of safety
  • Bilingualism (Advanced level English/French) is an asset
