Job summary

Ciena Corporation is seeking a New Grad Hardware Engineer in Ottawa to contribute to high-speed analog circuits for Wavelogic products. You will work on mixed-signal IP blocks, participate in design and characterization in a state-of-the-art lab, and collaborate with layout and integration teams.

The role requires ongoing pursuit of a degree in EE/CS and hands-on internship experience. Strong English communication and proficiency with Cadence/Mentor/Synopsys tools are essential.

Qualifications

• Working towards Bachelor's/Master's/PhD in EE, CS or related field.
• Internship or co-op experience relevant to the role.
• Experience leading designs in BiCMOS and/or CMOS technology.
• Strong organizational and English communication skills.
• Proficiency with Cadence, Mentor and Synopsys analog design tools.

Responsibilities

• Design complete analog blocks under supervision of a senior analog engineer.
• Collaborate with layout team to deliver through GDSII to integration partner.
• Characterize analog circuits in the lab from test chips to full product.
• Provide regular status updates and contribute to team discussions.
