What will you be doing!

  • Preparing project or activity work scopes, cost estimates, schedules, and proposals.
  • Overseeing the successful implementation of projects and activities, including field supervision of work execution.
  • Interacting with various project team members and staff in related operating facilities.
  • Writing technical documents such as procedures, work plans, lift plans, technical scopes of work, technical specifications, and criticality safety documents.
  • Communicating with external suppliers as needed.
  • Tackling unique challenges and opportunities to reduce legacy liabilities associated with strategic materials at CRL significantly.
  • Other duties as assigned by your manager.

What we are looking for:

  • Education
    • At minimum a Bachelor's (Honours) in Engineering or Science from a university of recognized standing, or membership in an engineering or scientific professional organization authorized by statute to establish qualification for membership in that organization.
  • Experience

    • 0-2 years of relevant experience.

  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential for working effectively and clearly with multidisciplinary operational teams.
    • Planning and prioritization skills to coordinate one's own work to meet established deadlines.
    • Leadership and organizational skills for establishing teams and chairing meetings to facilitate critical decision-making.
    • Knowledge of MS Office software.
  • Security Clearance Eligibility Required
    • Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3-5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.”
