What will you be doing!
- Developing, maintaining, and supporting the use of training/awareness materials, sessions, and mentorship on Quality Program processes, with a specific focus on the Quality Assurance and Control training curriculum and assessments of implementation for quality division personnel and Canadian Nuclear Laboratories (CNL) client groups.
- Establishing quality training needs to support the quality functional area and client groups at all sites with quality training needs.
- Developing and maintaining Training Analysis, training plans and curricula for Quality Program elements.
- Assisting with implementing Quality Program-related training curricula and awareness packages for client-specific groups.
- Initiating and assisting with training verifications, audits, surveillance of management reviews, and self-assessment activities.
- Advising on the Quality Program requirements and processes/procedures supporting the application of quality codes and standards.
- Advising on quality codes and standards related to Quality Program activities.
- Guiding customers in the application of Quality Programs to projects and facilities.
- Advising on new, complex, unique, or novel applications of Quality Procedures and associated processes.
- Performing verifications and assessments, and participating in audits on behalf of the quality function.
- Completing and driving analyses of training for the Quality Assurance Functional Support Area (QA FSA) function with the support of the Training FSA.
- Conducting training assessments such as reviews, audits, surveillances and self-assessments with primary focus on quality-specific training implementation and effectiveness
- Preparing and reporting assessment/verification reports in a timely fashion and raising corrective actions.
- Assisting in the development and improvement of Quality Program procedures and plans.
- Developing Quality Program procedures, Quality Program Plans, and associated change management.
- Assisting in Quality Program reviews and reviewing the Company-wide application of Quality Program processes and procedures.
- Identifying conditions adverse to quality.
- Identifying and reporting conditions adverse to quality to ensure the timely resolution of quality-related events.
- Verifying the disposition of nonconformities, supporting evidence, including the completion of corrective actions by responsible managers.
- Other duties as assigned by your manager.
What we are looking for:
- Education
- Minimum, a bachelor’s in engineering or science from a university of recognized standing, or membership in an engineering or scientific professional organization authorized by statute to establish qualification for membership in that organization.
- Experience
- Minimum 5 years in a defined Quality Assurance or Quality control position.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering Quality Management, Quality Assurance or Quality Control training curriculum, including Quality Assurance and Control principles, practices, procedures, and quality tools.
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to create and deliver training in quality processes and topics with long-term institutionalization in mind.
- An understanding of the Canadian nuclear regulatory framework.
- Capable of translating governing quality requirements into applicable knowledge and training materials.
- Proficiency in the use of enterprise software applications (i.e., MS Office Suite, Oracle and CNL’s information management system);
- Exceptional versatility, interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to communicate and collaborate with internal/external stakeholders and apply confident delivery of materials.
- Capable of working both independently and in a team environment.
- Sound judgment, initiative, strong drive, positive attitude, and consistent, careful attention to detail are essential in this position to ensure accurate and compliant work.
- Ability to prioritize and make decisions in a dynamic work environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality work.
- Security Clearance Eligibility Required
- Level 2 Secret requires a minimum of 7 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States, and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.”

- Travel may be required to deliver training, assess needs, and participate in audit activities.
