Program and Training Coordinator, Inclusive Engagement

JOB SUMMARY

Kutak Rock seeks a Programs and Training Coordinator to join its national Inclusive Engagement Department. The Programs and Training Coordinator works with the members of the Department to support inclusive engagement training activities, strategy, and systems of the Firm, including, but not limited to, firm-wide affinity groups and committees, firm community service initiatives, legal career pipeline programming, vendor and supplier diversity, and additional internal programming.

This full-time remote position is available to candidates in close proximity in one of the following firm offices: Atlanta, GA; Denver, CO; Fayetteville, AR; Irvine, CA; Little Rock, AR; Los Angeles, CA; Kansas City, MO; Minneapolis, MN; Omaha, NE; Philadelphia, PA; Richmond, VA; Rogers, AR; Scottsdale, AZ; Spokane, WA; Springfield, MO; Tallahassee, FL; or Washington, DC.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Assist with some or all of programs, activities, and training conducted by the Department for various committees, groups, and departments within the firm.
  2. Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including tracking, and filing system for documents and emails related to each program and training.
  3. Communicate and coordinate regularly with supervisor about performance of short- and long-term goals and important developments which may affect the on-time completion of scheduled programs and training and adjust as needed.
  4. Promote excellence in Kutak Rock member and client experience of Department and Firm initiatives.
  5. Work with Department members to complete tasks related to programs and training.
  6. Ensure the quality of creative output meets or exceeds expectations and is delivered on time.
  7. Maintain a prioritized calendar of due dates and a schedule of deliverables while adjusting to changing priorities.
  8. Communicate with responsible parties, Department members, Kutak Rock members, and external stakeholders, and provide timely responses to requests.
  9. Participate in inclusive engagement activities including, but not limited to, committee strategic planning, Department meetings and retreats, inclusive engagement training and education, management of communications vendors, preparation for the Firm’s partnership meeting, and committees and programs as required.
  10. Coordinate frequently with other members of the Department and collaborate with members of the Firm on a variety of projects in a productive and positive manner in keeping with the Firm’s values and culture.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned, including supporting and serving as back-up to other Department members.

QUALIFICATIONS: Skills and Abilities

  1. Demonstrated ability to communicate in group settings with the ability to lead meetings, discussions, and trainings through engaged facilitation.
  2. Ability to be collaborative and work cross-functionally across multiple departments and stakeholders.
  3. Moderate to advanced proficiency in facilitating Zoom meetings and webinars.
  4. Moderate to advanced proficiency with common business technology and programs (e.g., Microsoft Office, Adobe, Canva, SurveyMonkey, etc.) and a willingness to learn new technology platforms.
  5. Excellent organizational skills including the organization, management, and tracking of multiple projects with frequently changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
  6. Ability to present written and oral messages effectively with a variety of professional audiences, including internal and external groups, clients, and members of the Department.
  7. Ability to convey Department messaging and utilize appropriate communication mechanisms to accomplish project goals.
  8. Possess an attention to detail in the creation of program and training materials, messaging, marketing materials, presentations, and written communication.
  9. Ability to be proactive, results-driven, and a self-starter in a professional environment.
  10. Ability to support the core values of the firm: client service; integrity and fairness; innovation; and inclusiveness and diversity.
  11. Ability to attend in-person meetings and events with travel as requested (10%).

QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience

  1. High School degree or equivalent required.
  2. Specialized training or certification in inclusive engagement programs/training preferred but not required.
  3. 5+ years of experience in training or program facilitation.

Position Information

Status: Non-Exempt

Salary Range: $45,500-$62,500 per year commensurate with education and experience.

Work Arrangement: Remote with in-person attendance and potential travel required as requested by supervisor.
