Job summary

Kaizen Lab Inc. in Halifax, Nova Scotia seeks a dynamic, highly organized professional to support national initiatives strengthening the settlement sector's capacity to respond to gender-based violence for newcomers.

The role collaborates with settlement organizations and anti-violence partners to expand the National GBV Staff Champion Network, deliver online training, and design learning resources, with bilingual English/French requirements considered an asset.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of gender-based violence, trauma- and violence-informed approaches, and survivor-centered practices.
• Experience working in the settlement sector and/or the gender-based violence sector is considered a strong asset.
• Bilingualism (English and French) is considered a strong asset for this bilingual project.
• Experience creating materials for and facilitating virtual training, workshops, or educational programming.
• Experience with projects involving multiple stakeholders and partners.
• Knowledge of equity, diversity, inclusion, anti-oppressive practice, and intersectionality.
• Excellent facilitation, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, planning, and project administration skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate communication with partners, consultants, participants, and stakeholders.
• Share practical tools, resources, communications materials, and learning support with network members.
• Design all presentation materials involved for the project including resources, slide decks for virtual and in-person presentations, and professional communications.
• Strengthen and expand the National GBV Staff Champion Network including designing, outreaching and co-facilitating regular virtual meetings.
• Implement a train-the-trainer model that enables GBV Champions to independently deliver education and awareness activities within their organizations and communities.
• Facilitate and design peer-led knowledge exchange opportunities that promote collaboration and sharing of best practices across the sector through virtual webinars and training sessions.
• Build and strengthen relationships with anti-violence organizations, settlement agencies, and other key stakeholders.
• Support the outreach, delivery and ongoing maintenance of the Bridges to Safety online training program in both French and English.
• Support the transition of the Bridges to Safety Course to a fully self-directed and self-paced learning platform including registration and course completion processes.
• Maintain detailed records, databases, evaluations, and project documentation and resources for reporting purposes.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
