The Corporation of the City of North Vancouver is seeking a dynamic People and Culture Business Partner for a one-year assignment. You will provide guidance on employee relations, recruitment, organizational design, and policy interpretation in a unionized environment.

The role requires a degree in HR, 3–5 years of relevant experience, and strong coaching, communication, and analytical skills. CPHR and municipal experience are assets; MS Office and PeopleSoft experience preferred.

Competenze

Degree in human resources or a related field.
3–5 years recent experience as a People & Culture/HRBP/Generalist in a unionized environment.
CPHR designation is an asset; municipal experience is an asset.
Experience with Microsoft Office, PeopleSoft, an Applicant Tracking System and a Records Management System.

Mansioni

Provide guidance on employee and labour relations matters; disability case management; recruitment and resource planning.
Assist with organizational design, change management and job evaluation processes; interpret and apply collective agreements and HR policies.
Demonstrate strong coaching, communication and analytic/problem-solving skills to develop leadership capabilities and manage competing demands.
