Job summary

BJRC Recruiting is helping a rapidly growing PE-backed wealth-management client find a hands-on Controller to lead accounting, close processes, and financial reporting across multiple entities. This role reports to the Head of Finance and requires IFRS/US GAAP expertise and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• CPA designation with 8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Extensive experience in complex, multi-entity environments.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and U.S. GAAP.
• Proven leadership and team development experience.
• Experience in a private equity-backed portfolio company is highly preferred.
• Proficient in NetSuite and Excel.
• Hands-on with ability to balance strategic initiatives with day-to-day accounting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly close and full-cycle accounting across multiple entities, delivering accurate financials within 15 business days.
• Manage multi-entity/multi-currency accounting, consolidations, intercompany activity, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Prepare and oversee financial reporting, variance analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Ensure IFRS and U.S. GAAP are applied across the organization.
• Lead audit readiness and coordinate with external auditors.
• Oversee and improve NetSuite processes, controls, and reporting.
• Identify automation opportunities and system enhancements.
• Develop and strengthen internal controls and reporting processes.
• Support acquisitions and integrations of new entities.
• Partner with senior leadership on financial reporting and business initiatives.
• Mentor junior accounting team members and foster high performance.
• Contribute to finance transformation and process improvement initiatives.
