Job summary

Minted Search Group in Toronto is seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to lead multi-entity financial reporting and the accounting team. You will prepare financial statements, year-end files, and budgets under the CFO's guidance.

The role requires strong Excel skills, experience supervising staff, and the ability to manage multiple entities and tight deadlines. A clear path to broader financial leadership within a family-owned real estate group is offered.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience preparing financial statements and year-end working papers for multiple entities.
• Advanced Excel with complex formulas and large data analysis.
• Experience supervising accounting staff.
• Ability to manage detailed work across multiple entities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and full working-paper files for the portfolio's companies, joint ventures and partnerships.
• Prepare year-end files for the external CPA firm; respond to questions. Mainly compilations, some reviews, no audits.
• Prepare annual property budgets and set tenant charges in Yardi Voyager.
• Direct and support the accounting staff; review work and coordinate deadlines.
• Improve accounting procedures, controls and recurring reporting with the CFO.
