Job summary

CareerBeacon is seeking a dispatch/logistics professional to schedule drivers, assign vehicles, and oversee daily driver activities. The role liaises with the detailing department, maintains standard operating procedures, and responds to emergencies with efficient routing and communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong computer skills (Word, Excel).
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and multitasks well.
• Previous dispatch or logistics experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and schedules drivers (weekly, daily).
• Identifies vehicle availability and assigns vehicles to work types.
• Participated in the On-Call Emergency Line Rotation.
• Assists drivers with routing directions and logistics.
• Responds to emergency calls and assigns rescue buses and drivers.
• Communicates route assignments and any last-minute changes affecting service or routing.
• Reports mechanical issues to the onsite motor coach service centre.
• Liaises with the detailing department to ensure vehicles are clean and ready.
• Maintains compliance with dispatch standard operating procedures.
• Handles customer concerns and requests professionally and expeditiously.
• Escalates unresolved issues to management as appropriate.
