We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Truck Dispatcher to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating freight shipments, communicating with drivers and brokers, and ensuring smooth transportation operations from load pickup to final delivery. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and experience using load boards such as Loadlink and DAT.

MINIMUM 2 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and dispatch trucks for pickups and deliveries in a timely and efficient manner.
• Utilize load boards such as Loadlink and DAT to search for and secure profitable loads.
• Communicate effectively with customers, carriers, and brokers to negotiate rates and confirm load details.
• Maintain constant communication with drivers to monitor load status and provide updates when necessary.
• Track shipments from pickup through transit to delivery, ensuring timely updates and issue resolution.
• Ensure all required documentation is completed, including Bills of Lading (BOL), rate confirmations, and Proof of Delivery (POD).
• Resolve any issues that arise during transit, such as delays, route changes, or customer concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, driver logs, and dispatch activities.
• Schedule appointments for pickup and delivery when required.
• Monitor driver compliance with company policies and transportation regulations.
• Work closely with accounting and operations teams to ensure accurate invoicing and documentation.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, customers, and drivers.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a truck dispatcher or in a logistics/transportation coordination role preferred.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Loadlink and DAT load boards.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills when dealing with customers, carriers, and brokers.
• Ability to effectively communicate with drivers and manage multiple loads simultaneously.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and transportation management systems is an asset.
• High attention to detail and strong record-keeping skills.
