Job summary

Bison Transport is seeking a Highway Fleet Dispatcher in Calgary to manage day-to-day driver fleet activities. You will monitor fleet performance, distribute and update information, and resolve issues with timeliness and clear communication.

Ideal candidates will have dispatch experience, strong customer service background, and proven multitasking and planning abilities in a fast-paced environment. Shift pattern is Continental (2x2x3) from 06:00–18:00, supporting essential service operations.

Responsibilities

• Transmit and receive information relevant to driver duties per company/customer requirements.
• Handle driver-related satellite messages or calls.
• Report and document customer service, planning and driver issues to appropriate personnel.
• Ensure the system accurately reflects events and times.
• Address scheduling conflicts or issues promptly.
• Provide drivers with routing plans as required.
• Maintain positive relations with drivers.

Job description

As a Highway Fleet Dispatcher, you will be expected to execute the day‑to‑day activity of your assigned driver fleet. This includes monitoring of the fleet, accurately distributing, receiving and updating information. You will be responsible for identifying and participating in the resolution of issues relating to day‑to‑day activity of the Driver. You must be well organized, an excellent communicator and have a keen sense of timeliness in carrying out daily activities.

Responsibilities

• Transmitting and receiving all information relevant to the driver performing his/her duties within the Company and customer requirements.
• Handling all driver related satellite messages or calls within assigned and overflow queues.
• Reporting and documenting all customer service, planning and driver related issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Ensuring the system reflects an accurate portrayal of events and times.
• Immediately addressing all scheduling conflicts or issues as they arise.
• Providing drivers with plans and routing as required.
• Forming positive working relations with all drivers.
