Job summary

Homestead Land Holdings Limited in Kitchener/Cambridge, ON is seeking a Mobile Superintendent to rotate across a regional portfolio, covering maintenance, administration and cleaning to support residents.

You will handle on-site cleaning, prepare apartments, respond to tenant concerns, process rents, and assist the Property Manager. A valid driver’s license and on-call duties are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance/cleaning preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 kg (e.g., trash bags, cleaning equipment).
• Obtain a valid First Aid certification, paid for by the Company.
• Reliability, attention to detail, and safe work practices are essential.
• Team Player with strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Keep common areas clean and prepare apartments for new residents.
• Facilitate work orders and perform minor maintenance in plumbing & electrical.
• Address tenant concerns effectively and promptly; show vacant apartments.
• Collect and record incoming rents; serve legal documents as needed.
• Maintain fire safety logs and winter logs; respond to emergencies.
• Follow an ‘on-call’ schedule and assist the Property Manager with duties.

Position: Mobile Superintendent

Location: Kitchener/Cambridge, ON

Type: Existing vacancy

Hours: 40 hours per week plus on call

Compensation Range (includes salary & shift premium): $53,000 - $58,500

Description

As a Mobile Superintendent at Homestead, you will expertly float amongst a regional portfolio in order to assist at buildings that need reinforcement due to staff vacations, sick days, etc. The Mobile Superintendent ensures a consistent level of customer service for our residents by seamlessly assuming roles in maintenance, administration and cleaning.

Responsibilities

Cleaning/Maintenance

• Ensure cleanliness of common areas & corridors
• Prepare apartments for new residents
• Facilitate work orders and perform minor maintenance in plumbing & electrical
• Other grounds maintenance

Tenant Relations/Administrative

• Address tenant concerns effectively and promptly
• Maintain positive relations with tenants
• Show vacant apartments to prospective residents
• Collect and record incoming rents
• Serve legal documents as needed
• Rent upcoming suites and complete required documentation

Safety

• Ensure resident safety and security at all times
• Respond appropriately and professionally to emergencies
• Maintain fire safety logs and winter logs

General

• Follow an ‘on-call’ schedule
• Maintain accurate stock control records
• Other duties as assigned by the Property Manager

Qualifications
