Job summary

Homestead Land Holdings Limited in Kitchener/Cambridge, ON is seeking a Mobile Superintendent to support a regional portfolio. You will float between properties to cover vacancies, vacations, and sickness, ensuring consistent maintenance, administration, and cleaning service for residents.

This role requires a hands-on contributor with reliable transport, ability to lift up to 20 kg, and a focus on safety. On-call duties, collaboration with the Property Manager, and timely handling of work

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance/cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 kg (e.g., trash bags, cleaning equipment).
• Obtain a valid First Aid certification, paid for by the Company.
• Reliability, attention to detail, and safe work practices are essential.
• Team Player.
• Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning/Maintenance: Ensure cleanliness of common areas & corridors; Prepare apartments for new residents; Facilitate work orders and perform minor maintenance in plumbing & electrical; Other grounds maintenance; Address tenant concerns effectively and promptly; Maintain positive relations with tenants; Show vacant apartments to prospective residents; Collect and record incoming rents; Serve legal documents as needed; Rent upcoming suites and complete required documentation.
• Safety: Ensure resident safety and security at all times; Respond appropriately and professionally to emergencies; Maintain fire safety logs and winter logs.
• General: Follow an on-call schedule; Other duties as assigned by the Property Manager.

Position: Mobile Superintendent

Location: Kitchener/Cambridge, ON

Type: Existing vacancy

Hours: 40 hours per week plus on call

Compensation Range (includes salary & shift premium): $53,000 - $58,500

As a Mobile Superintendent at Homestead, you will expertly float amongst a regional portfolio in order to assist at buildings that need reinforcement due to staff vacations, sick days, etc. The Mobile Superintendent ensures a consistent level of customer service for our residents by seamlessly assuming roles in maintenance, administration and cleaning.
