Job summary

Homestead Land Holdings Limited is seeking a Mobile Superintendent to support a regional portfolio across Kitchener/Cambridge, ON. You will perform maintenance, cleaning and administrative duties while ensuring high resident satisfaction.

This role requires on-call availability and the ability to manage multiple tasks across properties. The ideal candidate has maintenance or cleaning experience, a valid driver’s license, and strong communication and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance/cleaning experience preferred.
• Obtain a valid First Aid certification, paid for by the Company.
• Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Reliability, attention to detail and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain common areas and corridors; prep apartments for new residents.
• Facilitate work orders and perform minor maintenance in plumbing and electrical.
• Address tenant concerns and show vacant units to prospective residents.
• Collect and record rents and serve legal documents as needed.
• Maintain safety logs and respond to emergencies.
• Follow an on-call schedule and assist Property Manager as needed.

Position: Mobile Superintendent

Location: Kitchener/Cambridge, ON

Type: Existing vacancy

Hours: 40 hours per week plus on call

Compensation Range (includes salary & shift premium): $53,000 - $58,500

Overview

As a Mobile Superintendent at Homestead, you will expertly float amongst a regional portfolio in order to assist at buildings that need reinforcement due to staff vacations, sick days, etc. The Mobile Superintendent ensures a consistent level of customer service for our residents by seamlessly assuming roles in maintenance, administration and cleaning.

Responsibilities

Cleaning/Maintenance

• Ensure cleanliness of common areas & corridors
• Prepare apartments for new residents
• Facilitate work orders and perform minor maintenance in plumbing & electrical
• Other grounds maintenance

Tenant Relations/Administrative

• Address tenant concerns effectively and promptly
• Maintain positive relations with tenants
• Show vacant apartments to prospective residents
• Collect and record incoming rents
• Serve legal documents as needed
• Rent upcoming suites and complete required documentation

Safety

• Ensure resident safety and security at all times
• Respond appropriately and professionally to emergencies
• Maintain fire safety logs and winter logs

General

• Follow an on-call schedule
• Maintain accurate stock control records
• Other duties as assigned by the Property Manager

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance/cleaning experience preferred
• Ability to lift up to 20 kg (e.g., trash bags, cleaning equipment)
• Obtain a valid First Aid certification, paid for by the Company
• Reliability, attention to detail, and safe work practices are essential
