Astra Security is seeking a Mobile Patrol Security Officer for overnight shifts in Calgary. You will patrol sites, monitor CCTV, and respond to incidents to prevent loss and ensure safety. Strong focus on reporting, communication, and staying vigilant in varying weather conditions.

Required licensure includes a valid Security licence and a Class 5 driver’s licence. This full‑time position offers a company car, benefits, and paid time off.

Responsibilities

Duties

• Conduct regular mobile patrols around the property to deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access
• Monitor surveillance footage via CCTV systems to identify suspicious activity or security breaches
• Respond promptly to alarms or incidents, coordinating with emergency responders when necessary
• Perform detailed inspections of facilities, including entrances, exits, and restricted areas
• Maintain accurate logs of patrols, incidents, and observations for reporting purposes
• Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying potential theft or safety hazards
• Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure seamless security operations

Skills

• Strong background in law enforcement or security operations with an understanding of surveillance techniques
• Experience operating CCTV systems and conducting visual inspections for security purposes
• Knowledge of loss prevention strategies and best practices for deterring theft and vandalism
• Ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations or security incidents
• Excellent observational skills with keen attention to detail during patrols and surveillance activities

• Physical stamina to perform patrol duties during overnight hours in various weather conditions
