Job summary

WestShore Chamber of Commerce in Victoria is seeking a dedicated Mobile Patrol Driver to help keep clients safe and premises secure. You will operate a Mobile Patrol vehicle, perform site checks, respond to alarms, and complete detailed safety and incident reports.

The role requires a BC security licence and BC driver's licence with a clean abstract, along with strong problem solving and report-writing skills. Evening and overnight shifts may be required.

Qualifications

  • A valid BC security workers licence.
  • A valid BC driver's licence with a clean driver's abstract.
  • Excellent problem solving skills and professional report writing.
  • Ability to work independently, especially in the evenings and overnight.
  • Proficient at operating equipment such as cell phones and two-way radios.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operating a Mobile Patrol motor vehicle in accordance with all laws and regulations.
  • Conducting security checks at client sites according to directives, standards and post orders.
  • Utilize company cell phones, two-way radios and Tracktik phone app.
  • Conducting alarm response to client sites as needed.
  • Conducting House Watch patrol if necessary.
  • Attending lone worker sites to check on workers when requested.
  • Ensuring incident and shift reports are completed including Run Sheets, Vehicle Inspection reports, Key Muster reports, Tracktik reports, Alarm reports and Inventory reports.
  • Reporting for shifts on time, and maintaining proper dress and deportment at all times.
  • Reporting any unsafe incidents, practices and/or issues.
  • Conducting vehicle checks at start of shifts and ensuring any issues are reported accurately.
  • Being respectful towards tools/equipment and ensuring proper key control at all times.
  • Ensuring vehicles are kept clean and washed as required.
  • Maintaining high standard of work ethic and professionalism.
  • Promoting a respectful workplace by displaying a courteous, professional attitude.
  • Keeping management aware of any unusual incidents.
  • Assisting in the training of new Patrol Drivers, and setting a good example at all times.
  • Completing any additional assignment as instructed by the Client Service Manager for Mobile Patrols.
