Job summary

Securiguard Services Ltd. is seeking a Mobile Security Guard in Burnaby to secure client properties, conduct mobile and foot patrols, and respond to alarms and emergencies.

The role involves collaborating with police and emergency services, complete incident reports, and maintaining professional conduct on a fast-paced shift. The position requires security licensing, a valid driver’s license, and a strong commitment to safety, customer service, and law‑abiding operations.

Qualifications

• BC Security License (BST) required.
• Class 5 Driver's License with clean driver’s abstract and claims history.
• Minimum of 3 years of security industry experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of driving experience in the Lower Mainland.
• Occupational First Aid Level 1 (OFA Level 1) or equivalent.
• Ability to work 12-hour graveyard shifts, on a 4 on 3 off, 3 on 4 off rotation.

Responsibilities

• Secure premises by locking/unlocking gates, doors and access points per client protocols.
• Conduct mobile and foot patrols across multiple client properties.
• Respond to emergencies including alarms.
• Remove unauthorized individuals with safety and professionalism.
• Enforce property rules, by-laws and applicable legislation.
• Maintain a visible, friendly security presence and provide customer service.
• Complete detailed incident reports and patrol logs.
• Report safety hazards or equipment malfunctions.
• Follow company policies and site procedures.

Job description

As the Mobile Security Guard, you will take on a varied and dynamic role that involves securing client properties by locking and unlocking gates, conducting thorough foot and vehicle patrols, responding swiftly to alarms and emergencies and safely removing unauthorized individuals. No day is the same in this fast-paced position. This role provides valuable exposure to real-world security operations, including regular collaboration with police and emergency services. Through incident response, patrol duties, detailed report writing, and rotating shift work, you will gain practical experience that supports a future career in security or law enforcement.

What You Would Do

• Secure premises by locking and unlocking gates, doors, and other access points as per client protocols.
• Conduct mobile and foot patrols, maintaining a static presence on sites across multiple client properties.
• Respond promptly to several types of emergencies, including fire alarms, elevator entrapments, and intrusion alarms.
• Remove unauthorized individuals from premises while maintaining safety and professionalism.
• Enforce property rules, city by-laws, and applicable legislation.
• Maintain a visible, approachable presence to promote safety and provide customer service to patrons and clients.
• Complete detailed incident reports, daily security book entries, and maintain accurate records of patrols and activities.
• Report any safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, or unusual activity.
• Adhere to company policies, safety standards, and site-specific procedures.
