Job summary

Clean Harbors Sarnia, Ontario is seeking a Licensed Mobile Heavy Duty Mechanic to maintain and repair fleet across the region on a permanent full-time basis. Travel up to 100% and a strong safety focus are central to the role.

You will perform inspections, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance on light to heavy-duty vehicles and equipment, using diagnostic software and hydraulics, with opportunities for growth within a safety-first company.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Truck and Coach Technician certification required.
• 3+ years' experience as Heavy Equipment Technician.
• Hydraulics experience is an asset.
• Vacuum trucks experience is an asset.
• Ability to use diagnostic software.
• Class 5 driver's license with a clean record.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize Health and Safety and follow all safe work practices and procedures.
• Complete Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHAs) and Job Hazard Assessments (JHAs).
• Work independently on customer sites where required.
• Perform inspections, diagnostics, troubleshooting and repairs on light and heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure reliability and performance.
• Complete warranty and other documentation.
• Disassemble, inspect, and replace worn components as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and document daily logs.

Clean Harbors Sarnia, Ontario is looking for a Licensed Mobile Heavy Duty Mechanic to join their safety conscious team!

The ideal candidate will be responsible for routine maintenance, inspections, and repairing of all company fleet at branch and client locations throughout the area. This is a permanent full-time position, with travel up to 100%.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner.


• Complete and follow all Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHAs) and Job Hazard Assessments (JHAs).

• Complete all required documentation, including daily Samsara logs, accurately and in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Truck and Coach Technician Certificate


• 3+ years’ experience working as a Heavy Equipment Technician/Mechanic.


• Previous experience working with Hydraulics is an asset.


• Previous experience working on Vacuum Trucks is an asset.


• Ability to use diagnostic software.


• Class 5 Driver’s License required with a clean drivers abstract
