Clean Harbors in Breslau, ON is seeking a Licensed or 3rd Year Apprentice Heavy Duty Mechanic (Truck and Coach Technician 310T) to join our team. The role maintains and repairs heavy diesel equipment at the facility, with a Monday–Friday daytime schedule and potential weekend/overtime, plus benefits after 30 days.

You will work on heavy equipment, perform diagnostics, and document daily activities, contributing to health, safety and reliability across our fleet.

Qualifications

• Licensed/Journeyman or 3rd Apprentice Heavy Duty Mechanic (310T License).
• 3+ years' experience as a Heavy Equipment Technician/Mechanic.
• Class 8 trucks and tanker trailers experience is an asset.
• Ability to use J Pro diagnostic software.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety as a top priority and follow safe work practices.
• Complete field and job hazard assessments as required.
• Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair light and heavy‑duty vehicles and equipment.
• Communicate servicing needs with Supervisor.
• Complete warranty information.
• Disassemble, inspect, and replace worn components.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment.
• Complete required documentation and daily logs accurately.

Job description

Clean Harbors in Breslau, ON is currently looking for a Licensed or 3rd Year Apprentice Heavy Duty Mechanic (Truck and Coach Technician 310T) to join our team.

This idea candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing all heavy diesel equipment within the facility.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner.
• Complete and follow all Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHAs) and Job Hazard Assessments (JHAs).
• Perform inspections, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on light & heavy-duty vehicles and various types of equipment.
• Communicate equipment servicing needs as required with Supervisor.
• Complete warranty information.
• Disassemble, inspect, and replace worn, damaged, or defective components as required.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment through regular housekeeping activities.
• Complete required documentation and daily samsara logs in an accurate and timely manner.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Licensed/Journeyman or 3rd Apprentice Heavy Duty Mechanic (310T License).
• 3+ years' experience working as a Heavy Equipment Technician/Mechanic.
• Previous experience working with Hydraulics is an asset.
• Previous experience working on Class 8 trucks and tankers trailers is an asset.
• Ability to use (J Pro) diagnostic software.
• Class G Driver's License required.
