Clean Harbors in Corunna, Ontario, seeks a Licensed Heavy Duty Equipment Technician (421A) to join a safety-focused team. You will repair and maintain fleet including trucks, tractors, trailers and heavy equipment on customer sites as needed.

The role offers union employment with a wage of $45.06 per hour, a 6:30am–3:00pm Mon–Fri schedule, robust benefits after 30 days, RRSP with company match after 90 days, stock purchase eligibility, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Licensed journeyman Heavy Duty Equipment Technician (421A) or related experience.
• 3+ years' experience as an Offroad Technician/Mechanic with dozers, excavators and rock trucks.
• Driver's license required.
• Experience with hydraulics is an asset.
• Experience with vacuum trucks is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the top priority by following safe practices and policies.
• Complete Field Level Hazard and Job Hazard assessments.
• Inspect equipment and identify repairs needed.
• Work independently on customer sites when required.
• Perform routine and targeted maintenance on company vehicles and equipment (dozers, excavators, rock trucks).
• Inspect and diagnose components for service needs.
• Complete repair orders and warranty information.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment and heavy-duty vehicles.
• Communicate servicing needs with Supervisor.
• Disassemble, inspect, fit and replace worn parts.
• Maintain documentation accurately and timely.

Clean Harbors Corunna, Ontario is looking for a Licensed Heavy Duty Equipment Technician (421A) (Off Road Mechanic) to join their safety conscious team!

This position will be responsible for the repairs and preventative maintenance of all company owned fleet (trucks, tractors, trailers, heavy equipment, etc)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner.
• Complete and follow requirements of Field Level Hazard and Job Hazard assessments.
• Perform thorough inspections of equipment and identify required repairs.
• Work independently on customer sites often.
• Perform routine and specific maintenance on company vehicles and equipment (Dozers, Excavators and Rock Trucks).
• Inspect and diagnose components and equipment for servicing needs.
• Complete repair orders.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment and light and heavy-duty vehicles.
• Communicate equipment servicing needs as required with Supervisor.
• Complete warranty information.
• Disassemble, inspect, fit and replace worn or broken parts.
• Carry out housekeeping duties.
• Complete required documentation in an accurate and timely manner.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Preferred Licensed/ Journeyman Heavy Duty Equipment Technician (421A) (Off Road Mechanic), or related experience and proficiency
• 3+ years' experience working as a Offroad Technician/Mechanic with Dozers, Excavators and Rock Trucks.
• Previous experience working with Hydraulics is an asset.
• Previous experience working on Vacuum Trucks is an asset.
• Ability to use diagnostic software
• Driver's License required.
