Job summary

Clean Harbors Corunna, Ontario is seeking a Licensed Heavy Duty Equipment Technician (421A) to maintain and repair fleet including dozers, excavators and rock trucks. The role demands adherence to safety, the ability to work on customer sites, and routine diagnostics using specialized software.

In this union position, wage is $45.06 per hour with a 6:30am–3:00pm, Monday–Friday schedule. Benefits include health coverage, RRSP matching after 90 days, stock purchase eligibility, and opportunities

Qualifications

• Licensed/Journeyman Heavy Duty Equipment Technician (421A) preferred.
• 3+ years' experience on Dozers, Excavators and Rock Trucks.
• Hydraulics experience is an asset.
• Driver's License required.
• Ability to work independently on customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize health and safety in all tasks.
• Complete Field Level Hazard and Job Hazard assessments.
• Inspect equipment and identify repair needs.
• Perform maintenance on company vehicles and equipment (Dozers, Excavators, Rock Trucks).
• Diagnose and repair equipment and light/heavy vehicles.
• Document repairs and servicing accurately and timely.

Clean Harbors Corunna, Ontario is looking for a Licensed Heavy Duty Equipment Technician (421A) (Off Road Mechanic) to join their safety conscious team!

This position will be responsible for the repairs and preventative maintenance of all company owned fleet (trucks, tractors, trailers, heavy equipment, etc)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner.
• Complete and follow requirements of Field Level Hazard and Job Hazard assessments.
• Perform thorough inspections of equipment and identify required repairs.
• Work independently on customer sites often.
• Perform routine and specific maintenance on company vehicles and equipment (Dozers, Excavators and Rock Trucks).
• Inspect and diagnose components and equipment for servicing needs.
• Complete repair orders.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment and light and heavy-duty vehicles.
• Communicate equipment servicing needs as required with Supervisor.
• Complete warranty information.
• Disassemble, inspect, fit and replace worn or broken parts.
• Carry out housekeeping duties.
• Complete required documentation in an accurate and timely manner.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Preferred Licensed/ Journeyman Heavy Duty Equipment Technician (421A) (Off Road Mechanic), or related experience and proficiency
• 3+ years' experience working as a Offroad Technician/Mechanic with Dozers, Excavators and Rock Trucks.
• Previous experience working with Hydraulics is an asset.
• Previous experience working on Vacuum Trucks is an asset.
• Ability to use diagnostic software
• Driver's License required.
