Deswik, a Sandvik Company, is seeking an Account Manager in Vancouver to oversee and grow our North American regional customer base using mining engineering and geology expertise. You will develop new business, manage accounts, draft proposals, and negotiate contracts while building relationships with frontline site teams, general managers and executives.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Mining Engineering or Geology.
• 5+ years’ experience in the mining industry in technical or operational roles.
• Solid understanding of site operations and what it takes to operate on site.
• Experience in sales or customer/stakeholder management and commercial negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business and manage current accounts; draft proposals and negotiate contracts.
• Build collaborative relationships with customer stakeholders at site, GM and executive levels.
• Support planning and delivery of software implementations and consulting services.
• Innovate in applying Deswik technology to solve mining problems.
• Exceed customer expectations by delivering value from existing investments and partnerships.
• Manage customer relationships professionally and address issues promptly.
