Job summary

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience with Caterpillar mining equipment.
• Proven leadership in mining or heavy equipment.
• Strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of Caterpillar products, warranty processes, and service operations.
• Experience in a unionized environment and knowledge of collective agreements.
• Proficiency with Caterpillar SIS and SIMS tools.
• Ability to balance safety, quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
• Commitment to accountability and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Champion safety standards and ensure compliance with procedures.
• Lead, coach, and develop technicians through recruitment and mentoring.
• Spend majority of time in the field supporting technicians.
• Coordinate resources, tooling, and personnel for maintenance/repair activities.
• Conduct pre-, mid-, and post-job reviews for scope and quality.
• Provide technical guidance and resolve equipment and parts issues.
• Build customer relationships and act as primary field contact.
• Ensure accurate service reports and SOP documentation.
