Job summary

Elk Valley Resources (EVR), part of the Glencore Group, offers a coop role in Mining/Mineral Resource Engineering in British Columbia. You will participate in mine planning, design, and operations support, while developing practical engineering skills in a dynamic industrial setting.

You will collaborate with engineering and operations teams, contribute to safety programs, and gain hands-on experience across drilling, blasting, surveying, and economic evaluations.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Mining/Mineral Resource Engineering.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Participate in health and safety programs and policies.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations for mine plans.
• Assist with mining design, pit and dump design, and fleet operations.
• Support drilling, blasting, surveying and technical services.
• Monitor operating areas and assist with permits compliance.
• Perform economic evaluations and assist with capex docs.
• Develop and evaluate innovative ideas and technologies.
