Job summary

Elk Valley Resources (EVR), part of the Glencore Group, seeks a motivated engineering co‑op for a project-based role in British Columbia. You will participate in safety programs, support process development with the engineering team, and help prepare project documents and cost controls.

Gain hands-on experience in mining operations, work with multidisciplinary teams, and receive mentorship from seasoned specialists while pursuing an undergraduate engineering degree.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Interest in project-based work and hands-on collaboration.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with MS Office; AutoCAD/SolidWorks are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations and consultants on process development, QA initiatives, troubleshooting and testing.
• Support the Project Management team in evaluating vendor proposals, progressing designs, preparing framework documents, and scheduling/cost control.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary professional teams, support activity projects, and deliver environmental awareness materials to employees.
• Create and evaluate innovative ideas and technologies to improve how we do business.
