Job Title: Millwright Foreman

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Millwright Foreman to lead a team in construction projects related to wastewater systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reading drawings, setting up the team, and completing pipe work with PVC and stainless steel for pumphouse projects. This role involves installing pumps, motors, blowers, and rigging large process pipe installations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team in completing pipe work projects with precision and accuracy.
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and P&ID diagrams.
• Assemble, align, and install equipment such as pumps, piping, shafting, conveyors, and tram rails.
• Perform installations of pumps, motors, blowers, and large process pipe fittings.
• Ensure proper rigging and installation of process piping in wastewater projects.

Essential Skills

• Proficient in process piping, welding, and rigging.
• Expertise in blueprint reading and interpretation.
• Millwright ticket and foreman experience of 5+ years.
• Ability to use basic hand and power tools for pipe installation and fitting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Red Seal certification with the Ontario College of Trades.
• Certification in Working at Heights.
• Experience in commercial or industrial construction settings.

Work Environment

The main site is located in Brantford, focusing on industrial and institutional construction for government projects. Work involves retrofits and new constructions of water and wastewater treatment plants, predominantly outdoors on construction sites. Expect exposure to year-round weather conditions, loud noises, and machinery. The standard shift is Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 4:00pm, with overtime available after 44 hours. Work sites include Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Guelph, Niagara, and Orangeville. The environment can be messy, wet, and cold, with potential for dirty conditions.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brantford, Ontario.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $52.00/hr.
